  1. Okay, this is actually in reference to episode 122, but I want to chime in that I’m with Craig in that I’m not down with Revoltech. They were okay when they first came out because they filled a niche that gave us relatively cheap toys of robots that were either obscure or where the “regular version” *cough*SOC*cough* were waaay too expensive. I mean, I think they’re still the only alternative for an articulated Dix Neux, and until the recently announced SRC Mazinkaiser, they were the only affordable Mazinkaiser and Patlabor/Griffin toys.

    But once Figma came out, and then Figuarts, and then Robot Spirits. Revoltech’s been left in the dust. And like a DCUC-type toy, they’ve refused to evolve. To me, their main draw is in their deep pool of characters and willingness to do stuff that no one else would, like Yotsuba and Danboard.
